Four Countries! One Stamp!

Four countries participated in a joint issue! Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia put their heads together and came up with a stamp. This stamp was specially released to commemorate the 450th birth anniversary of Jan Jessenius, a physician, politician and philosopher.Jessenius was born Dec. 27, 1566. He is known to give a great contribution in the field of Physics as well as philosophy. He is known for performing the first public autopsy in 1600s. He is also known for bing a part of unhealthy politics which led him to his death.
This se – tenant stamp comes with the denomination of 27 Czech Koruna and depicts a portrait of Jan Jessenius on left and the front cover of his book on right. The entire stamp is in black and white except the name of the country and the denomination.
